Wilfred Genee defends tickets at Holiday Auctions: ‘It was already like this!’

Wilfred Genee denies that tickets for Today Inside Live are being dumped on auction sites because ticket sales are so disappointing. “It was that way from the beginning!”

Media critic Victor Vlam has discovered that ticket sales are really not going well for Today Inside Live, which will take place next Sunday in the Ziggo Dome. The event will be filmed to serve as a New Year’s Eve special on SBS 6. Tickets are still available in almost all public sections; according to Victor, the room is one-third empty.

Wilfred denies

What seems? Just like André Hazes Jr., tickets for the live event of the men of VI are also available for next to nothing at VakantieVeilingen, which is somewhat the online equivalent of the Kruidvat sales bin. As a successful artist you obviously don’t want to be found there; that sell-out element is just damaging to your reputation.

However, Wilfred Genee denies that any kind of ticket dump is taking place at VakantieVeilingen. According to him, offering tickets on the auction site has been part of the strategy from the start. Apparently they already counted on not being able to fill the Ziggo Dome if everyone had to pay the full price.

Priceless

According to Wilfred, there is no panic. He provided clarity last night Today Insideafter a lengthy commercial for the event ran.

The presenter: “You can get the regular normal tickets via redactieinsidelive.nl and if you want those cards on the edge – that has been the case from the beginning – you can do so via VakantieVeilingen. Just to make it clear exactly how that works. That has been the case from the beginning.”

Too expensive

According to Victor, the regular tickets for the VI event are way too expensive. The two of you can easily spend 250 euros on an evening of VI, he calculated. “To be very honest, I think the tickets are just way too expensive. It strikes me as one cash grab.”

A cash grab to pay the royal salaries of the VI trio. Of course, there must also be something nice left at the bottom for John de Mol’s treasury…
