Joop van den Ende thinks that Geert Wilders is absolutely incapable of becoming Prime Minister of the Netherlands. “I have nothing against him personally, but he can’t keep it together.”
It seems that Pieter Omtzigt has more or less collapsed the formation and a lot of attention was paid to this last night in the talk show by Humberto Tan. Theater and TV billionaire Joop van den Ende was also at the table. According to him, it is completely unthinkable that Geert Wilders could ever become the prime minister of our country.
Joop demolishes Wilders
Joop finds Wilders’ behavior disturbing. “When you have a leader of the PVV for seventeen years who has said everything. ‘The House is this’, ‘the rule of law is wrong’, which has put away population groups, the VVD faction leader crying on the pulpit, who has insulted everyone and everything…
He continues: “That he can suddenly become Prime Minister and lead something with multiple parties… He can’t do that at all!”
‘I didn’t expect anything’
It doesn’t surprise Joop that the formation seems to have collapsed. “I didn’t expect anything from it at all. ABN Amro also wanted to collaborate with ING. Fantastic. Why didn’t it go through? Because the two general managers there are two vain guys who couldn’t get along. The only reason!”
That is also the case here, he believes. “I personally have nothing against Wilders. That’s just someone who does his hard work, but I don’t agree with what he says at all. I look at leadership and how should you lead a country with the problems we have? How are you supposed to keep things together when you send out tweets like this?”
Politically committed
Why is this so close to Joop’s heart? “I am politically committed. I think it is important that our country is well led. We now need a government that is sensible and solves the problems.”
