Joshua Kimmich’s future at FC Bayern is anything but certain. The national player could leave as early as winter – there is obviously an opportunity in the Premier League.
According to Ekrem Konur, Manchester United want to make a move on Kimmich. The transfer expert names FC Barcelona, Manchester City, Arsenal FC and Liverpool FC as other interested parties.
Kimmich’s departure from FC Bayern is no longer out of the question. At least that’s what “Bild” and “kicker” recently reported. The trade magazine recently wrote that FC Bayern first wanted to wait for Kimmich’s performance in the second half of the season before making a decision for the future. That doesn’t sound like a possible winter change.
Kimmich is only tied to FC Bayern until 2025. Those responsible at Säbener Straße inevitably have to think about a possible continuation of the collaboration. Ultimately, the aim is to prevent the 28-year-old from entering his final year of contract with an unclear future.
Kimmich “very important” for FC Bayern
At the beginning of November, sports director Christoph Freund submitted a water level report for Kimmich. The DFB star is still “very important” for FC Bayern and an “absolute leader.”
“He knows about his role at FC Bayern. And we know it too,” said the Austrian at the time. “We haven’t talked in detail yet,” revealed Freund, but added: “But of course I’ve talked to Jo for a while.”
According to “Bild”, selling in winter is not an issue. However, things could get exciting in the summer. FC Bayern is apparently not completely ruling out selling Kimmich at the end of the season. In this regard, “everything is possible” at the moment, according to the tabloid.
