Hyundai tried to attract Rovanperä with a really big salary offer.

According to rumors, Kalle Rovanperä has been offered a mammoth contract from the Hyundai team.
Estonian The Delfi website according to sources, Hyundai was ready to pay Rovanpera a “record high” salary, but the Finn was not interested in the offer.
So Toyota’s rival is now chasing Ott Tänak from M-Sport. The Estonian star drove Hyundai in 2020–2022.
Rovanperä’s current contract with Toyota expires at the end of this year. The manager of the teenager Timo Jouhki has had discussions with both Toyota and Hyundai.
Rovanperä has acknowledged the risks associated with changing teams. In July, he hinted that he might not want to experience the same fate as Tänak a few years ago.
The Estonian left Toyota at the end of his 2019 championship season. Since then, there have been no more World Cup titles.
– I guess it doesn’t sound terribly reasonable, Rovanperä commented on Tänak’s decision earlier.
Rovanperä leads the World Rally Championship and is hunting for the second championship in a row.
