Wild claim about Messi’s World Cup win: “I mean everything I say”

According to Louis van Gaal, Argentina’s World Cup was pre-planned.

Served as coach of the Dutch national football team Louis van Gaal made a strong claim about the World Cup in Qatar on Monday.

Van Gaal, who has experienced everything in his career and won a lot, led Holland to the quarter-finals of the Games, where Argentina was, however, stronger.

Argentina eventually progressed all the way to the final. There, it defeated France after a penalty shootout. The Argentines played all the time on the borders of the rules and sometimes went to the other side.

However, the judges allowed it to continue.

– I don’t want to say too much about it. “When you look at how Argentina scored and how we scored and how some of Argentina’s players went over the line and they weren’t punished for it, I think (the World Cup) was pre-planned,” van Gaal blasted according to the Dutch NOS.

Van Gaal was asked to elaborate.

– I meant everything I said. Messi was supposed to be champion? I think this was it.

Van Gaal’s comments have been generally understood to mean that the international football association Fifa specifically wanted Messi to win the world championship and that is why the referees allowed even the hard grips of the Albiceleste players.

Van Gaal, who is known as an outspoken and tough person, received an award on Monday that honored his great achievements in Dutch football.

The coaching legend was diagnosed with prostate cancer at the end of 2020. He had surgery on August 9th. Van Gaal told NOS that complications have arisen.

– I have to rest until September 19. Then we will see if the operation has helped. I feel good.
