As more comes out about the transgressive behavior at NOS Sport and the editors-in-chief have even announced that they are stepping down, it becomes more and more uncomfortable that the wife of NOS star Tom Egbers holds sway at the support center for undesirable behavior in the media : Mores.

provoke

This Janke Dekker was already called up in December by Johan Derksen to leave. “I do get a little sick of Janke. It makes me cry, yes. (…) If she wants to keep her credibility, she will step back,” he said at the time. And as a joke: “I know from a reliable source that there are already ten complaints for Tom. No, that’s a joke.”

Those kinds of statements cause annoyance to Janke, she shows this week in the latest Weekend. “I shrug my shoulders at that. These gentlemen provoke as a revenue model. That’s really good, that is entertaining, it is entertainment and something other than journalism. So you laugh at that and you shrug your shoulders at that. And that’s it.”

Facts at a glance

According to Janke, the men of VI don’t even have the facts straight. “They must first get to know the facts well, those gentlemen are just shouting something. They assumed that Mores was going to do the research at the NOS. Well, Mores has nothing to do with it, so that’s it.”

What does Tom think of the hassle at the NOS? “Well, Tom does talk about it, because it has a major influence on such a department. We know that from Mores as well. As soon as an investigation is started in a company, it is very hard for all the people who work there.”

Everyone suspicious

Janke thinks we should watch out for a witch hunt. She previously indicated that her Tom is absolutely not a bully, but the research at the NOS must of course show that.

“The moment an investigation takes place, everyone is suddenly suspicious,” says Janke now. “No, Tom doesn’t find it difficult that an inventory is going on.”
