The wife of Iranian-Swedish scientist and VUB guest lecturer Ahmedreza Djalali, who was sentenced to death in Iran for alleged espionage, fears that her husband will soon be executed. It therefore reiterates its call for help to the Member States of the European Union. “If something happens to my husband, all EU countries are responsible, because they have turned a blind eye to human rights in Iran,” said Vida Mehrannia.
