Wierd Duk is absolutely not a fan of Marcel van Roosmalen, who currently has a column in the ratings hit De Oranjewinter. He thinks his trick is getting boring. “Naughty Clown.”
Marcel van Roosmalen is busier than ever. In addition to his daily podcast Weer Een Dag and his talk show Media Inside, he can be seen, read and heard in many more media with his commentary. He is currently also with a column in the ratings hit De Oranjewinter. Who isn’t a fan of it? Telegraaf journalist Wierd Duk.
Deugers
Marcel’s columns do not appeal to Wierd, who is the lover of Fidan Ekiz. He says in New Rev: “He is brilliant at milking one trick: always pissing someone else off with lots of hyperbole and a straight face. I have seen it after a few times, but others apparently find it very funny.”
What does Wierd think of the fact that he too is often pissed off by Marcel? “I don’t think it’s a problem that he has served me off. If you attack Wierd Duk in public, you mark your territory so that you are counted as a member of the club of virtuosos.”
Clown
Marcel would like to belong to that group of ‘virtues’, believes Wierd. “Van Roosmalen apparently thought it opportune to become part of that group. I don’t see him as a journalist, more as a clown.”
He concludes: “I don’t consider him a colleague. As said, he knows one trick: serving other people with a grumpy face. In the long run, of course, that will be done.”
