Why the UK plans to ban the American Bully XL dog breed

He United Kingdom plans ban a breed of dog at the end of the year which in Spain is not even considered as potentially dangerous dog (PPP), as announced this Friday by the British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

This is the American dog breed Bully XL, which has carried out several attacks in that country. “The American Bully “XL is a danger to our communities, particularly to children,” the conservative leader states in the recording.

“It is clear that This is not a bunch of poorly trained dogs.but it is a pattern of behavior and it cannot continue,” he says, alluding to several known attacks in recent days.

“These dogs are dangerous, I want to reassure citizens that we will take all necessary measures to ensure their safety,” Sunak added.

Once experts agree on how to define this dog breed, the Government will propose banning it by amending the current dangerous dog law, the prime minister said.

In Spain It is not classified as a potentially dangerous dog -as are their ‘parents’ Pit Bull Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier and American Staffordshire Terrier- and puppies of this breed sell for 1,000 euros or more.
