Yesterday it crackled again when Foreign Minister Liz Truss slammed the Russian trolls. They are flooding us with fake news about the war in Ukraine, Truss grumbled – Russia denies this. The minister went one step further on Wednesday. More heavy weapons, tanks and planes should help push the Russians “out of all over Ukraine”, including the areas in Donbas and Crimea, which had already been annexed in 2014. The British tone towards Moscow has been very offensive for weeks. For example, the bombing of oil storage depots in Russia by the Ukrainians is explicitly regarded as ‘legitimate’ by the British Ministry of Defense.
