Which German celebrity has the prettiest smile? Researchers at the Berlin medical company “PlusDental” have now researched it.
The team around Dr. Lan Timm examined the smiles of over 100 celebrities and assessed teeth according to various criteria such as care, symmetry, smile line and discoloration.
“Beautiful, well-groomed teeth make us appear more attractive and friendlier. Teeth are beautiful when they are straight and even, symmetrical, not too small or large, or when you don’t show too much of your gums when you smile. Other factors are the well-groomed appearance, no discoloration and if both jaws clench well,” says Dr. Lan Timm.

dr Lan Timm: “When he smiles, it immediately reflects his cheerful and down-to-earth personality. His teeth appear particularly well proportioned, especially in length and width they fit together perfectly. The harmonious impression is reinforced by the perfect distance between the teeth – neither too close nor too far apart.”

Timm: “If you look very closely, Heidi Klum’s teeth may not look 100% perfect: the lower row of teeth is by no means straight. But the teeth are very white and form beautiful symmetrical arches in the upper and lower jaws. When she smiles, her whole face beams and she shows off her beautiful teeth with confidence. No wonder that laughter is literally infectious!”

Timm: “Everything fits here, even the upper jaw perfectly with the lower jaw: even, straight teeth, which are also very even in size and therefore fit together perfectly. Palina has every reason to smile.”

Timm: “His teeth are perfectly proportioned. They are neither too close together nor are there large tooth gaps. In addition, they are not very small or large, too short or long, but visually match each other perfectly. It is therefore hardly noticeable that not all teeth are perfectly straight. Because the overall picture is coherent and ensures that the teeth shine.”

Timm: “Good proportions and perfect symmetry – that’s what makes Nazan Eckes’ teeth stand out. The straight teeth come into their own when smiling, especially in the upper jaw. In addition, the teeth are neither too close nor too close together, which has a particularly harmonious effect.”

Timm: “The model’s upper incisors are a bit larger, but Toni has the ideal proportions between teeth and gums with an outstanding overall impression when laughing.”
▶︎ Elyas M’Barek (7th place)
Timm: “Even if some think that the canines are a bit big: Elyas M’Barek’s teeth are straight, brilliantly white and symmetrical. In addition, hardly any gums can be seen when smiling, which gives additional plus points and is visually more attractive.”
