US actor Harrison Ford has explained why he doesn’t want to do another Indiana Jones movie after the fifth part.

“Isn’t that obvious?” the 80-year-old joked in Cannes on Friday, alluding to his age. “I have to sit down and rest a little.” At the same time, he talked about future projects. So there will be more seasons of the streaming series “Shrinking” and “1923” in which he plays.

Indiana Jones and the Wheel of Destiny premiered at the film festival on Thursday. The first part of the adventure film series was released in 1981.

In the last film, Ford wanted to see “the burden of life” on his character. “I wanted to see that he had to reinvent himself. I wanted him to be in a relationship that wasn’t some kind of flirtatious.”

In “Indiana Jones and the Wheel of Destiny,” “Indy” is once again on the hunt for a precious artifact: a wheel that some believe could change the course of history.

At his side this time is his goddaughter Helena (Phoebe Waller-Bridge). But the two are not the only ones looking for the device. A scientist with a Nazi past (Mads Mikkelsen) also wants to get his hands on it.
