In a special episode, Hanna Sumari explains how the jury chose the ten finalists.
The winner of the summer cottage version of Finland’s most beautiful home will be crowned in just a few days. The final will be shown on MTV3 on Thursday, July 6. Voting has already closed.
In today’s repeat episode, the judge Hanna Sumari explains on what grounds he and Sini Rainio and Tero Pennanen made their choice. The jury’s points decided the finalists, from which the viewers could vote for their favorite until Thursday of this week.

In the special episode, Sumari goes through all ten items. He starts with the first one, which is located in Vuokatti.

– In Vuokatti’s cottage, I was moved the most by the wonderful meadow, which was skillfully made, Sumari praises and reminds:
– Outside is also important indoors.

After Mummonmöki, the destination in Uudenkaarlepy, which Sumari praises as a cornucopia, made it to Uudenkaarlepy.
– It was like an adventure to another world.

The Kontiolahti Meteorite differs the most from all the others in terms of its shape.

There are no less than two cabins from Naantal, the first of which was the wonderful ensemble of the Wolt millionaire who made it to the final competition. In particular, the definition of a summer cottage sparked discussion. In everyone’s opinion, the 150-square-meter new building does not meet the criteria for a cottage. In the special episode, Sumari takes a stand.
– In my opinion, it’s like a cabin is a cabin, even if it’s a vacation home, i.e. a place where you can spend your free time all year round.

The opposite of Naantali can be found in Myrskylä, where there are hardly any amenities. However, that doesn’t bother Sumari.
– There are no facilities, but even more of a warm atmosphere.

In Sipoo, the family’s old – and the largest – summer place in the entire series made an impression with its natural building material, round logs.
– There was something really special about the winner. When we entered we saw a huge fireplace with fires burning and antique cabinets and huge candelabras. It was a great moment, Sumari recalls on TV.

In Helsinki, the jury fell in love with a log garden cottage with a great designer lamp. Sumari especially remembered the kitchens, which come in pairs.
– I especially fell in love with the outdoor kitchen.

Built at the beginning of the 20th century, the island cottage in Espoo is nicely decorated, but Sumari was impressed by the location.
– You could see the skyline of Helsinki from there.

According to Sumari, the second Naantali target for the final is quite a surprise.
– A small cottage that had been made wonderful changes. There was also everything really interesting in the environment.

A summer cottage from Pälkäne was the last to participate in the final competition.
– In the finalist of the episode, I was most attracted by the homeliness and warmth. I got the feeling that yes, it’s good to be here.
