Why ANMAT requests the withdrawal of Stanley light bulbs

“We were aware of a possible accommodation of small metal pieces inside some of the brand’s matte bulbs, used in one of the manufacturing stages in China, due to a temporary error in the process. It is estimated that in Argentina 59,947 products are in the hands of end users“, communicated the Stanley company on its official website.

Coinciding with the statement from the North American company, the National Administration of Drugs, Food and Medical Technology (ANMAT) reported that it continues with the voluntary and preventive withdrawal of Stanley brand light bulbs from the market to avoid a potential risk to the health of the population. Depending on the brand, the corrective action will be free for the consumer, who may choose to exchange the product for a new one, if available, or to return the amount paid.

Stanley’s distribution company in the country, Parallel SAdevelops the voluntary and preventive withdrawal from the market of light bulbs, “spoon” and “precision spring” models, lots B22, C22, D22, A23 and B23 (manufactured between April 2022 and June 2023).
