Why 1 gram of coke costs ten times less here than in Saudi Arabia and why Belgium is one of the ‘cheapest’ countries in the world

Sobering ‘price list’ in a new UN report. Where Saudi Arabia is the most expensive country in the world for cocaine users – with a street price of just 533 dollars (501 euros, ed.) for 1 gram of coke – Western Europe dangles at the bottom of the list. If we filter Belgium from that, our country even ranks among the cheapest in the world. Here, users even pay half as much as in the US. How low are those prices? And how can this hallucinatory difference be explained?
