In the case of Catalonia, the jewel in the crown is the Barcelona Provincial Councila juicy budgetary cake and positions of trust whose government usually confronts the main parties and gives rise to unusual alliances, with that of the PSC and Junts in the Barcelona institution.
This is how the four Catalan councils have been made up for the 2023-2027 mandate.

The majority required to preside over the council is set at 26 deputies in the first ballot or more votes in favor than against in the second.
Tarragona Provincial Council
The majority required to preside over the council is set at 14 deputies in the first ballot or more votes in favor than against in the second.
