If there was a distraction in the solemn ceremony at Westminster, it was definitely him.

Who is Charles III’s squire, Jonathan Thompson
On coronation day, May 6, he was omnipresent. Impossible not to notice it. He was beside Prince George and the pageboys to watch them, beside King Charles to help him. He was seen giving him instructions to hold up his grandfather’s cloak. A delight, in fact, for his eyes, which has certainly not escaped the ladies present as mischievously hinted at by more than a few British tabloids.
So much so that he “almost” stole the show from the real protagonist, Charles III.

Major Jonathan “Johnny” Thompson he was practically always next to Carlo, almost like a shadow in full uniform with a kilt. The British newspaper, Daily Recordsnoted that it “kept distracting people from what they should actually be watching on Coronation Day.”
Scottish by origin, 40 years old, before being “hired” by Charles III, the major in the Royal Regiment of Scotland, worked with Queen Elizabeth. He is a much loved figure within the royal family so much so that the Cambridge children hail him as an uncle.
He gained definitive notoriety with the funeral of Queen Elizabeth. Impossible not to notice her statuesque beauty in the ordinance kilt.
Charles III’s squire, “Johnny Hot T”
Born in 1983, as we said, he was described by Paris Matchas “Major Jonathan Thompson, or ‘Johnny Hot T’ the king’s divine squire”. The major, in fact, immediately becomes viral on social networks.
He lives with his wife Caroline Thompson in Surrey and they have a ten year old boy. Jonathan was born in Morpeth, County Northumberland.
Obviously due to his career he lived in Wiltshire as well as in Berkshire. Obviously he is a dog lover: he has two black Labradors, Odin and Piper.
