Daniel Iñiguezan enthusiastic fan of the Sabalero team, became known on May 21 of this year when he was captured by the official television cameras of the match between Colon and Central Barracks. In it Brigadier Lopez Stadiumthe Santa Fe fan was feeding his baby a bottle to the rhythm of the local fans’ chants.
The sequence immediately went viral on social media and Iñiguez’s image became popular among fans of the black and red team. The recording transcended the limits of the province and led Iñiguez to be nominated as one of the three finalists to win the ““FIFA Fan Award”.
“I found out this morning. Crazy, I thought it was just a viral image. I’m Daniel ‘Toto’ Iñiguez, I am 32 years old, from the San Agustín neighborhood. My son Tiziano was just two months old at that time,” the Sabalero fan introduced himself to a local media outlet that interviewed him. In the video broadcast you can see that the baby is wearing a Colon cap.
“I got up and I didn’t get a message on my cell phone because I took it to get it fixed. When I got to the Farmers’ Market, to work, everyone congratulated me and supported me. I didn’t understand anything. And I still haven’t fallen. Now we leave everything in the hands of God , if you have to vote, you know,” explained Iñiguez and added: “”I have been a fan of Colón since the day I was born, April 15. Finally, the Santa Fe fan and Tiziano’s father confessed that he was not aware of the other participants: “I haven’t seen anything yet.
