Penny Mordaunt is a British politician for the Conservative Party since 2010. She served in the cabinet of Theresa May and Boris Johnson from 2017 to 2019 and ran for Conservative Party Chair twice, unsuccessfully.
Mordaunt has been described by the British press as a trailblazer in British politics, although opinions on her political stance are divided. She has already held several important positions, including Minister of International Development and Minister of Defense.
Through her position as president of the Privy Council, she was made responsible for carrying the Sword of State, as the first woman ever in history.
