Who determines the sound of baby jars?

At the Lübeck University of Applied Sciences, trained hearing aid acousticians can further develop their passion for hearing and get to the bottom of the technical aspects of the devices they use every day during their training. After six semesters, the students are trained professionals who can work in a wide variety of industries. Be it in the hearing aid industry, in sound design or in building and room acoustics.

The students prepare themselves for this broad spectrum in practice-oriented courses. In addition to the scientific basics, they are given a colorful set of technical skills. You learn to program yourself, learn how signals are processed and carry out your own audiological measurements.

How does a hearing aid have to be technically equipped so that it can help people in the best possible way? Just one of many questions that the students of the hearing aids at the TH Lübeck. In the first semester, they learn the basics: from mathematics, physics, electrical engineering to general business administration and technical English. In the later semesters, the hearing aid acousticians learn how to program themselves, how to measure vibrations and waves, and how to process digital signals.
