“The Feminist Book Fair (FILFEM) It emerged at the end of 2018 with the aim of generating a meeting space with publishers, bookstores, writers and illustrators with publications and interest in feminist issues. The motor action of this initiative is to publicize in a massive way the large amount of material that bothers and disobeys, that questions the existing inequalities and that proposes other, more equitable ways of relating based on collective praxis”, explained the coordination of the fourth edition of the Feminist Book Fair (FILFEM)
The event will take place on March 2, 3, 4 and 5, in the meeting space We move the world from 14 to 20 hours. The edition will be presented, on this occasion, at the Plaza Seca of the Kirchner Cultural Center, located at Sarmiento 151 in the City of Buenos Aires. According to the organizers, the participation will also include proposals and curatorship shared with the CCK in the Juana Azurduy Forum.
“Just as we can all be feminists, with FILFEM we are all writers. It is not necessary to have your own book and a registered ISBN number because we are part of the most significant and transformative collective authorship of the historical moment that we have to live”, detailed the organizers of the feminist-themed cultural meeting.
Previous editions were held in 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2022, while it was part of other related ventures such as “We move the world” at the Kirchner Cultural Center (in 2020, 2021 and 2022), in the “Women’s Assembly” at the Teatro Nacional Cervantes (in 2019) and in “biennial territory” of the Young Art Biennial at the Recoleta Cultural Center (in 2019).
