The Council of the European Union extended this certificate until June 2023
France requires the COVID certificate from tourists entering the country
Although countries like Spain no longer require the COVID certificate to tourists coming from the European Union, other euro zone states do request it to control the entry of COVID-19 into their territory. For this reason, the Council of the European Union (EU) approved extending until June 2023 the regulation on the COVID digital certificate to allow the mobility of people already vaccinated.
Namely, all EU countries that wish to do so, may require the COVID passport from all tourists arriving at their borders. And what are the states that request it upon entry, and can they complicate your vacation even more if they don’t have it?
- France.
- Cyprus.
- Luxembourg.
- Malt.
- Netherlands.
Outside the European Unionsome countries that require the COVID certificate from all tourists (including even negative tests in some cases) are:
- USA.
- India.
- Cuba.
- Japan.
