‘Where’s your wisecracking waffle now?’

Merel Ek receives strong criticism from one of her colleagues at SBS 6, namely Guido den Aantrekker. The expert of Shownieuws believes that the reporter from Hart van Nederland is acting.

There has been a lot of fuss about the fact that Merel Ek was intimidated by Gideon van Meijeren, Member of Parliament for Forum for Democracy. He attacked her with a rotating camera and placed the images online under the title ‘Sewer Rats Unmasked’. Even Prime Minister Mark Rutte has commented on it.

collect a little

However, Guido den Aantrekker, who works for the same station as Merel, thinks that the journalist is a bit biased. He agrees with journalist Vico Olling, who writes: “Can we please stop talking about Baudet and Merel Ek now and just get on with life? I get the feeling that it is being exaggerated a bit from all sides.”

Guido answers: “Agreed. Many journos consider themselves very important, but taking a bit of the brunt and reacting decisively to fairly silly resistance is apparently not an option.”

smart waffle

Vico thinks that Merel should be a little firmer in her shoes. “She made a mistake in her eagerness and he called her to account in a cringe-inducing video. That’s it.”

Indeed, says Guido. “Many journos have a smart waffel with their TV crew or photographer, so give such a FvD sneuaard from Jetje if he comes to do the same for you.”

Wipe out of the pan

One Knock then gives Guido a gigantic swipe from the pan. “And that’s why you’re not a journalist, Guido den Aantrekker, but some irrelevant entertainment troela. You would rather facilitate fascists under the guise of ‘compassion’ than dare to speak out for the pillars of democracy.”

Guido rejects the plan for a cordon sanitaire around Forum for Democracy. “What a whine. Do them journalism or go into elderly care.”

Merel did not post a tweet after the incident.
