Borussia Dortmund meets VfL Bochum away on the 2nd Bundesliga matchday. Where can the small BVB district derby be seen live on TV and in the stream? sport.de has the answer.
The last five district derbies since VfL Bochum’s return to the German Oberhaus against BVB were tough. In the first half of the 21/22 season, Julian Brandt saved a draw in the final minutes, and VfL then sensationally won the second leg in Dortmund 4-3 – a certain Erling Haaland had scored a hat-trick for BVB.
Borussia Dortmund’s 3-0 win last season was followed by BVB’s narrow victory in the round of 16 in the cup (2-1). On the 30th matchday there was a 1:1 draw, which, however, was discussed for a long time. Referee Sascha Stegemann had denied BVB a penalty kick, and the video referee did not intervene either. The frustration then ran deep in the black and yellow, at the end of the season they were missing a point for the championship.
Now, on Saturday (3:30 p.m.), BVB will travel to Castroper Strasse again, where VfL will be playing their first home game of the season. Terzic expects a lot of resistance from Bochum after their 0:5 debacle at VfB Stuttgart at the start of the season. “That will annoy them, they will do a lot. We have seen for ourselves how difficult it is in Bochum,” he said at the press conference: “We will prepare very well.”
