Where do Russians and Ukrainians live in Barcelona?

There is one ‘Little Ukraine’ and one ‘Little Russia’ on Barcelona. Unlike other large cities, where both communities live in different areas, in the Catalan capital they live together. They do it mostly in the district of Sant Marti and in particular in the neighborhoods of Diagonal Mar and Front Marítim and Kisses and the Maresme.

In Barcelona they live 5,482 citizens of Ukrainian nationality and 8,073 Russian citizens, according to the city council’s 2021 census. Specifically, 302 Ukrainians and more than 500 Russians live in the area that brings together the Forum. 22% of the registered people in Ukraine live in the Besòs i el Maresme neighbourhood. Instead, a select group of 160 Russians occupy the area of ​​luxury skyscrapers in Diagonal Mar.

the district of Les Cortes it is also home to hundreds of Russian and Ukrainian citizens. But the Diagonal de Barcelona separates them: a large part of Russian citizens live in Pedralbes (above Diagonal), while the Ukrainians reside in Les Corts and the Maternitat i Sant Ramon (down the avenue).
