The last arrows hit the target in Alexandra Palace. At the Darts World Cup in London, Luke Littler and Michael van Gerwen are fighting for the title in the final. t-online tells you when and where you can watch the duel.
The highlight of the year for all darts fans is coming to an end: The big final of the world championship in London’s legendary Alexandra Palace, popularly known as “Ally Pally”, is on Friday evening. Luke Littler meets Michael van Gerwen. Who will ultimately be crowned the new world champion?
The fact is: both opponents made short work of their respective opponents in the semi-finals. Van Gerwen put Chris Dobey in his place 6-1, Littler beat Stephen Bunting with the same result. A show of force from both finalists.
Littler is now in the final for the second time in his second World Cup participation – and at just 17 years old. In 2024 he had to admit defeat to Luke Humphries in the final. Now he wants to take the crown as the best darts player in the world.
His opponent could once again win his fourth world title. Michael van Gerwen won the PDC World Championship in 2014, 2017 and 2019. Since then, however, there has been a lull for the Dutchman. A circumstance that “Mighty Mike” now wants to change.
Yes, the duel between Littler and van Gerwen will be broadcast live on Sport1. The countdown to the final starts at 7:10 p.m., but the players are not expected to arrive until 9:15 p.m.
Katharina Kleinfeldt moderates the evening. Also there: the experts Max Hopp and Robert Marijanovic. The commentator for the final is Sebastian Schwele.
Yes! If you don’t have a television, you can also follow the final on Sport1’s live stream.
And: The streaming provider DAZN is also showing the final. However, a subscription is necessary for this. Reporting on DAZN begins at 8:45 p.m.
