The year started off on a high note, with international DJs, private events and the traditional New Year’s party in association with the Jet disco, super busy as always. The hostel Sea House Manantiales is one of the hotspots of this summer. Located on the beach, steps from the sea, its setting is reminiscent of the beach clubs of Ibiza: different sectors with living rooms, lounge chairs and curtains that flutter with the sea breeze. This is the third season that Fabricthe successful Nikkei sushi brand from Argentina, is in charge of the space, offering tiraditos, ceviches, nigiris and rolls prepared with good catch, the best you can eat by the sea.
They have a tapas section with seafood empanadas, baos and katsusandos (those Korean and Japanese sandwiches that won our hearts, here in maritime versions) and parmesan shells (very Peruvian); a raw bar with the classics and with gems that shine especially in the omakase, which includes local white fish and caviar.
Salmon, avocado, passion fruit and cream cheese continue to be protagonists in their proposal. It’s what people like. Little by little, however, they were incorporating local fishing – croaker, mullet, silverside, mussels, rock clams – and spicy and acidic touches that bring it closer to the origins of its Peruvian-Japanese fusion.

There is also a kitchen section that includes grill (whole fish, entrails and octopus), good side dishes that can serve as small dishes such as quinoa risotto, truffle fries and Thai rice. The Italian seal that we Argentinians and Uruguayans love so much is present in starters such as burrata and pizzas, made in the house’s clay oven. There is a kids menu with healthy options.

Ice creams and desserts (tremendous chocoteja, pure chocolate with olive oil and salt crystals) are good as a snack, as are smoothies, juices and cocktails. There is a long list of classic and signature drinks, a well-stocked bar and essential sangria and clericó to say goodbye to the sun with good music.
