One clear and environmentally friendly trend can be seen in young people’s clothing consumption: used clothes. We walked to the center of Helsinki to ask ordinary young Finnish people where they buy their clothes.

In addition to flea markets, young people’s answers also include traditional places of business, such as department stores and clothing stores in shopping centers. However, clothes are even mostly bought from online stores such as Zalando, Depop and Grailed.
Of these, the latter two online stores specifically sell used, curated second-hand and vintage clothing as well as used luxury fashion.

The 18-year-old friends Oona and Karoliina shop for clothes mostly from thrift stores, and the discoveries made at them make them happy for many reasons.
