Money is sent and debited quickly
Payments are sent quickly by the online payment service PayPal. As a rule, the money is transferred to the other user’s PayPal account on the same working day. The processing of a payment can only take up to two working days if the complete payment information for the PayPal transaction does not reach PayPal on a working day or is only available after 4 p.m. German time.
Payments are sent just as quickly as they are debited from the user’s bank account. Of course, the amount is only debited from the stored payment method if there is not enough credit in the PayPal account itself for the money transfer or if you explicitly decide to debit. The bank account or credit card is usually charged within one to two working days after the payment has been successfully processed. The processing time can also be shorter, so that in some cases a debit takes place after 12 hours. If there is no debit within seven working days, it is advisable to check your own details again or to contact PayPal customer service.
The bank account can be debited
PayPal also offers some private customers payment after 14 days or even after 30 days. If you get access to these functions, the money sent will only be debited from your own account after 14 or 30 days, but the payment will be made immediately as usual. However, this service is only offered to a few selected users and cannot be demanded. The prerequisites for maintaining the functions include past transaction activities. So anyone who proves to be a reliable and extremely active PayPal user has a chance of being activated for the service. If you have linked the function to a stored bank account, the bank account will always be debited when using this payment method after the appropriate period and the PayPal balance will never be used for the money transfer. With each payment you can decide how you want to send the amount. Deferring the debit gives users the opportunity to fill their own account with the necessary money before the debit is made. If you move in immediately, this is often no longer possible. But the delay also has the trick of buying something today that you won’t have the money for 14 or 30 days from now. In general, when making payments via PayPal, you should make sure that these are always sufficiently covered – otherwise fees may be incurred. If you use the functions for paying later, missteps can also lead to PayPal withdrawing the service again.
