When Cristiano Ronaldo is transferred: the coach threatens to resign

According to media reports, Cristiano Ronaldo is aiming to leave Manchester United this summer. But finding a new employer is difficult. A coach of a club traded as a buyer is now apparently threatening to resign if the Portuguese superstar is signed.

As the “Times” Reported, Sporting coach Ruben Amorim vehemently resists a transfer from Cristiano Ronaldo. Accordingly, the 37-year-old even threatens to resign his post if CR7 is actually brought.

On the one hand, Amorim’s concerns have financial reasons. On the other hand, the coach is convinced that a Ronaldo transfer would seriously disrupt the team structure, according to the daily.

For Ronaldo, a move to Sporting would be a return to his old place of work. The attacker learned to play football at the Lisbon club and made his breakthrough as a professional before moving to Manchester United in 2003.

Recently, “The Athletic” reported that Ronaldo’s adviser Jorge Mendes contacted those responsible at Sporting. Should the Portuguese actually refrain from a deal, Ronaldo will slowly run out of options.

Neither Bayern Munich nor Borussia Dortmund, nor Paris Saint-Germain nor Chelsea FC wanted to sign the old master – even though he was reportedly going to take a big drop in salary.

Will SSC Napoli hit Ronaldo?

According to the newspaper “Tuttosport”, SSC Napoli is still involved in Ronaldo poker. Accordingly, Napoli are currently in negotiations with Manchester United over the sale of their Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen. The Italians demand 100 million euros for the Nigerian international – in return, Ronaldo should come with a loan contract.

This would allow the Portuguese to continue playing at a Champions League club. Ronaldo has been looking for ways to leave United for months.

The 37-year-old knows Serie A well, having been under contract with Italian record champions Juventus from 2018 to 2021 before moving to Manchester.
