Android users will no longer be able to store their Whatsapp backups in Google’s cloud for free, no matter how many times. Until now, Android users have been able to store their Whatsapp backups in the Google Drive cloud service without worry, as they have not been included in the storage space of the cloud service. This has meant that there has been no need to pay anything for storing even large Whatsapp backups in Drive, even if their size exceeds the 15 gigabytes offered for free to Android users.
