WhatsApp messaging service malfunction resolved
The WhatsApp malfunction was resolved late on Thursday evening. The messaging service was hit by a malfunction earlier in the evening. The app’s account on Twitter reported that it was working hard to “get things running smoothly” again.
Users said the ‘connecting’ message appeared and wouldn’t go away. The outage would have started around 10:30 PM Dutch time. More than an hour later, the message service reported that it was back on the air.
It is not known whether it was a global outage. On Twitter you can see that reports came from several countries.
