A new option has been added to WhatsApp’s privacy settings. Allows users to control which contacts can’t see their profile picture and other privacy-sensitive information, the app said Thursday know via Twitter

The app already worked on the privacy function last year, which was then only available to testers. First, users had three privacy options, which allowed them to choose who could see their profile picture and other information: everyone, my contacts, and nobody.

These have been supplemented with a fourth option called ‘My contacts except …’. Allows the user to control which contacts cannot see when they were last online. Also, when the user excludes certain contacts, he will not be able to see the status and profile picture of these contacts.

The privacy setting can be found under the heading ‘Settings’. Then go to ‘Account’ and select ‘Privacy’.
