Rachel Hazes has been in the news lately with her brasserie on the Spanish coast, but what happened to her Amstelveen tea stall? “Is it still hers?”
The eternal widow Rachel Hazes has lately been constantly found in the vulgar Spanish seaside resort of Torremolinos, because she has opened her own brasserie there. That is something different from a tea stall, like the one they opened in Amstelveen a few years ago. She can never be found there anymore. How exactly does that work? Is that still hers?
Tea stall
Rachel provides clarity in conversation with the Party. According to her, she still owns that stall. “It’s still mine. However, my manager really wants to take over the business. Of course, that is not surprising: it is a good place and we have a great team around us.”
She does not rule out selling the stall to this employee, who fills all those tea cups with heart and soul. “I also wish the manager the same. He did a lot for me.”
‘I won’t forget’
What did he do then? “When Dré came to live with me, I could do less for the business. I opened the tea bar in May 2021, and from October I was busy with Dré. Then they did it all themselves in Amstelveen.”
She continues: “So if I sell the business, it will go to my manager, because he was there for me day and night when I took Junior in. I may be able to sell the business to someone else for a lot more, but I won’t forget that someone was so good to me.”

Rachel no longer looks back at that tea stall. She is now busy with that Spanish brasserie, where she has changed everything. “It had a black and white floor. It looked really nice, but I thought it was very slippery. I am close to the beach and when someone walks to the toilet from the sea with their swimming trunks dripping, the floor becomes a slide.”
She concludes: “I wanted to replace the smooth tiled floor with anthracite gray, less smooth tiles. But try finding it in Spain. They almost only have light floors. Once I finally found the right color floor, I later received a call that it could not be delivered on time. Yes, then you will go crazy.”
