Eva Jinek has been in the news for 24 hours now with her weird fuss about wanting to work at Kruidvat. What’s behind this? Guido den Aantrekker does not trust the business.
For years, Eva Jinek has been saying that she sometimes fantasizes about a job without real responsibilities, such as opening some boxes in the Kruidvat warehouse. It reached its climax yesterday, when Eva came out with all kinds of Instagram photos and newsletter stories about a one-off adventure at the Kruidvat (see below).

What turns out now? Eva was allowed to realize that dream last Friday. She went on a sniffing internship at the branch in Mijdrecht. “I was allowed to go straight to the warehouse. Cardboard! Fabric softener! TL light! I was handed a red T-shirt and I could choose between long or short sleeves. Short of course!”
She has learned all kinds of things, for example about what sells ‘like a charm’. “Patty Brard products, Christmas cards and boob tape! And how many people work there now? 27,000!”
Suspicious
Story boss Guido den Aantrekker finds all those statements by Eva about the Kruidvat a bit suspicious, he says in Shownieuws. “You know me a bit, Tooske, and you know: I’m always a bit suspicious. I’m also a journalist and I think it’s all a bit of a strange story. Look, that has to do with a number of things.”
With what then? “For example, Eva lives in Abcoude in a kind of star street where Peter van der Vorst and Trijntje Oosterhuis also live. Just a hundred meters from that street is a Kruidvat branch in the main street in Abcoude, so you would think: if she likes it so much, she will just go there sometime?”
Large set up
Guido continues: “But no, this will be completely set up in a very large branch in Mijdrecht, where in a few hours – it is not the case that she has rolled up her sleeves there all day – she will have the entire branch gets to see. She poses very promotionally on her own Instagram in that photo.”
He continues: “I know what the market value of Eva is and it is quite high, so I think: there must be more in this. I think either that Kruidvat will do something with this and knowing Eva, it will certainly not be for an amount.”
A little too slick
It must be some kind of promotion for something, says Guido. “Maybe she will do something for charity or I don’t know much, but I think it’s all a bit too much. slick that she suddenly starts working for a few hours in such a very large branch.”
“If she really just did it because she likes it, you don’t have to take a picture with it, I think. I have a feeling that there is just something more to come. That is her right.”
