What money: house prices in Zoetermeer keep rising

The average sales price of homes throughout the Netherlands continued to rise in the second quarter of this year. The number of homes sold, on the other hand, fell slightly, according to real estate association NVM-Makelaars.

The brokers in the Netherlands recorded around 36,000 transactions from April to June. That is 1 percent less than a year earlier. The average sales price rose by 11 percent nationally. In the first quarter, prices rose by an average of 14 percent. You can read about the developments in our region below.

Zoetermeer region

As in the rest of the Netherlands, fewer houses were sold in the Zoetermeer region. A total of 1,815 homes changed hands. That is 9.8 percent less than in the same period last year. The average selling price was 476,000 euros. That is an increase of 8.6 percent.

Developments in the Netherlands

In all corners of the country, average sales prices were higher in the past quarter than in the same period in 2021. In the Veluwe region (which includes Apeldoorn, Ede and Wageningen), North Limburg and Southwest Drenthe (Assen, among others) prices rose the fastest. The price increase was most limited in the Delfzijl and Southwest Friesland regions. On average, houses in the Haarlem region sold for the most money (644,000 euros). Het Gooi and Groot-Amsterdam follow with average sales prices of 641,000 and 574,000 euros respectively.
