You sometimes see them looming from afar: the enormous greenhouses where products such as tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, aubergines and courgettes are grown. But if you don’t work there, when will you come in? You probably haven’t seen how greenhouse vegetables are picked and what it involves. This weekend you have the chance to walk into a greenhouse during Come into the greenhouse where greenhouse growers throughout the Netherlands throw open their doors. Growers want to explain everything to you.
The necessary rides have already been made, but on Sunday it’s really time: the motorcycle season is officially started with the Day of the Motorcyclist. During the second edition of the event, ten locations in the Netherlands have been designated from which a route has been mapped out. This way drivers can take a ride together and celebrate the start of the season.
The Drenthe course is over 164 kilometers and leads along De Hondsrug, the Dwingelderveld and makes a side trip towards Weerribben-Wieden and then returns to Assen. Get your motorcycle out of winter storage!
