Journalist Jorge Lanata announced the end of PPT (Journalism for All)the program that drives in The thirteen and which was once the most watched political program on Argentine television. According to Lanata in the radio program “In case the flies”, the reason would be a new project of the driver: “H, what is not pronounced”, a NatGeo documentary series that premieres in October. The cycle is already recording its second season and would even have scheduled a third. “Next year the safe program for the election follows. And then I want to raise PPT because it would be 12 years, said Lanata.
“Hache is what is not pronounced, what is not talked about; a series of documentaries that questions the human condition,” they explain from Nat Geo about the new product that journalist Jorge Lanata will lead. “He will inquire about issues that move him, social problems that open new questions about our future”, they add from the platform. Each chapter will present a “hache”, a covered thing, and Lanata will develop an investigation that leads him to discover the stories of those who face the new challenges of this century, crossed by cultural mandates and secret thoughts. The chapters take place in different cities of Latin America, in which it is reflected how cultural and social changes are experienced.
Regarding the experience of working for a streaming platform, Lanata said that it is a different experience, where numbers and times are not so demanding. She also advanced details of the series that will be about her life: it will be produced by Star + and Marisa Grinstein, author of the book and series “Murderer Women” will be in the project. “It is already finishing the first chapters of the first season”Lanata said.
PPT was for years a program that caused a stir with its broadcasts, showing reports that excited viewers on both sides of the crack. Several of its episodes showed information that angered referents of Kirchnerism, such as the work “The route of money k” that involved characters such as Lazarus Baez either Leonardo Farina. He also alternated journalistic information with moments of humor, such as those starring the actress Fatima Florez imitating the then president and current vice president Cristina Kirchner. This Sunday, PPT prevailed over “Pasapalabra” and “The Argentine Voice” with a program dedicated to the repercussions of the failed attack against the vice president.
