Car editor Niek Schenk answers: ‘The national broadcasters are now well received in almost all of the Netherlands, but the reception of commercial channels still leaves a lot to be desired. With a view to calamities, tunnels that were previously equipped with FM support transmitters for NPO Radio 1 must also receive the same channels for DAB. And apart from that: the digital sound quality of DAB is ultimately better than that of analog FM.’
