Bloody clothing and a trail of blood stains on a wooden platform were found this morning at a beach entrance in Petten. But there is no trace of an injured person. Police have cordoned off the beach entrance and are now looking for anyone injured.
Where the bloody clothes come from, or what may have happened is completely unclear. A spokesman for the police confirms the finding of the bloody clothing. A crime is not ruled out. Witnesses say they think they heard shots last night. Together with male voices, according to several witnesses.
‘Large amount of blood’
A police spokesperson says that a helicopter has now been deployed to find the possibly injured person. “We don’t know who owns the clothes or whether there is a medical need. But we haven’t found anyone yet.”
The Rescue Brigade ‘De Puitaal’ Petten leaves via Facebook know that a ‘large amount of blood’ has been found. They ask everyone to stay away from the scene of the incident as much as possible.
