Dionne Stax is terribly bitten by Jan Uriot, the second most important man of the weekly magazine Privé. He thinks she’s a “weak dessert” that’s too much on TV. “What does she know about Jan Slagter?!”
It really bothers Jan Uriot that Dionne Stax can be seen so often on television. He points to programs such as Van Onschatbare Waarde, Droomhuis Gewant, Het Hoge Noorden and De Nieuwe Vermeer. “You can’t turn on the TV without seeing that person pass by,” he complains in the column What does Jan think.
No sharp edge
Jan thinks it’s really a bit too much of a good thing. Omroep MAX really uses her way too often, he says. “I once told you that I hated that Samantha Steenwijk, because she was on TV a lot. That is less now, that has been scaled down, but we now have Dionne Stax TV.”
That Dionne just doesn’t have it, says Jan. “I don’t like it at all. I mean: the lady can present, there is nothing wrong with that, but there is no sharp edge to it.”
Bland dessert
What would Jan compare her to? “It’s a bit of vanilla custard. A bit of a limp dessert, you know. I really don’t think so anymore. I don’t know why Omroep MAX gives her so many opportunities.”
The Private journalist seriously wonders about the latter. He does not even rule out that she is blackmailing the broadcaster, he jokes. “Would she know anything about Jan Slagter?”
