What do you wear if it isn’t summer yet, but it isn’t winter either?’ † Female

“There are actually no fixed seasons anymore. Certain clothing is simply sold all year round and you can choose whether you wear it in the summer or in the winter. You can wear a sleeveless dress in both summer and winter. Maybe you can wear a cape or a pashmina shawl over it when it is a bit more cold, but otherwise the dress will serve you all year round. And that’s handy. There are plenty of items of clothing that you can wear through and that are very suitable for making the transition from cold winter to spring.”

Jeans

“Consider, for example, all kinds of jeans items, which are perfect for this transitional season. From jeans jacket (which really goes with everything) in various colors to the overalls (completely back in the picture, especially with cool worker boots underneath), and the long and short jeans skirt. The jeans dress is also available in all kinds of variants, from short to long, with or without ruffles, sporty or romantic and especially made of airy jeans material so that it does not draw too much and falls nicely. In some cases, the jeans dress can even be worn as a jacket dress and you can wear it open as a kind of kimono over the clothing.

The jeans shirt is also a hit, especially in a tie-dye version (dipped jeans with a mottled appearance), in jeans blue or in colored jeans variants for a new hippie trend. The great thing is that you can also style the jeans items very nicely with striking jewelry. Because the clothing is often basic, you can unpack nicely with this. So big (gold!) jewelry and a pair of brightly colored boots or loafers and a spacious, striking colored shopping bag.

Especially comfortable stretch jeans are the basis for various looks. Wear this with a crisp, clear white shirt (you can borrow it from your husband/boyfriend if necessary) for a fresh spring feeling with sneakers and a sporty jacket. But you can also dress more, because with a blazer on the jeans with a pair of pumps, ankle boots or espadrilles underneath, you get a more dressed look and you are ready for a night out for dinner or a cozy terrace moment.”

Blazer

„The blazer is in any case a great solution as an ‘in between’ item because you can wear this jacket on the days when it is a lot less cold. Should the sun unexpectedly disappear, a cape in a color that is reflected in the accessories will do just fine over the blazer. This provides a comfortable feeling, even if you are still outside in the evenings.

The nice thing is that this season the blazer is not so tightly cut, but looks more oversized. As a result, a thin cotton sweater also fits underneath, nice for the sportier look. Do you want to give the blazer an extra feminine touch? This can be done by wearing a thin belt loosely over the blazer, or a nice scarf/sash. A jumpsuit with pumps or ankle boots underneath also gives a very feminine look together with the blazer.”

„If you prefer the sportier look, then the wafer-thin bomber jacket made of parachute fabric is also a solution, also very nice in the brighter colors and a real eye-catcher with every outfit. Other in-between jackets are, for example, the super light quilted jackets that you can even easily take with you because they can be folded and fit perfectly in your shopper bag as a small roll. They are also available in very nice bright colours: try green (the new black), fuchsia, neon shades, yellow, orange, red or cobalt blue.”

trench coat

“The well-known beige trench coat is of course an item that goes with everything and in a cotton version you will enjoy it in spring, summer and even in autumn. Slightly more daring are the ones in brighter hues that immediately add a cheerful note and brighten up any outfit, no matter how simple, in no time.

Fortunately, this season there are also less boring trench coats in floral prints, checks, stripes and cheerful designs. You can also combine this with plenty of options, especially if the outfit underneath is kept in one color. The beige or white trench coat is also a daring variant, although it is obviously a challenge to keep it neat and clean.”

White

“In addition to a possible white/beige coat, white clothing is also a solution. The crisp white blouse, the stark white men’s suit, white pants or dress, a skirt. It can all be perfectly combined with bright colors and with black, which makes it look a lot less summery and is therefore also suitable for the spring period.

White can sometimes turn a bit pale so close to the face now that we haven’t gained much color yet. A solution is, for example, to wear a colored shirt, shirt or sweater under a white blouse, so that the white does not come directly to the face and the brighter color raises the complexion a bit more. A handy trick that allows you to start wearing white shades early in the spring.

Also beautiful: bright white with off-white, beige or chalk grey. As a result, the whole is not immediately dazzling white, but the colors merge into each other much more gradually. For example, opt for accessories in bright colors and the picture is complete!”
