What do you think: Soon I will only fill up in Germany

From next week, petrol in Germany will be a lot cheaper. The price difference with the Netherlands is increasing, because the excise duty in Germany is reduced. This means that from 1 June, petrol will be fifty cents per liter cheaper than in the Netherlands, if you consider the price outside the highways.

In the Netherlands, the price for many pumps is now around 2.20. The suggested retail price is even higher and is now around 2.36. In Germany it will amount to 1.72 after the excise duty reduction. A difference of 64 cents per liter Euro95.

The difference is smaller for those who drive on diesel. The excise duty in Germany will be reduced by 14 cents. The price is now about the same on both sides of the border, so diesel is also cheaper in Germany than in the Netherlands.

It is certainly possible for the petrol drivers to cross the border quickly. For many Drenthe it becomes interesting to pay a visit to Germany to do cheaper shopping and refuel a lot cheaper.

Are you also going to refuel in Germany? Cross the border to take that advantage?
