Today is Warm Sweater Day, a day to put on a thick sweater and turn down the heating. If you do that, you save energy and emit less CO2.
If the whole of the Netherlands burns one degree lower in one day, we will save 6.3 million kilos of CO2, reports initiator Climate Association Netherlands of the 16th Warm Sweater Day on its website. Lowering the heating might be a good idea anyway, because energy prices are skyrocketing. Dressing yourself a little warmer at home, so that the heating can be lower in winter, saves on your wallet.
