The trial for the deadly baptism of Sanda Dia will start again on Monday. The trial is now before the Court of Appeal in Antwerp. “At first it was assumed that the Court would settle the procedural issue fairly quickly. And that they would decide whether the case would go back to Hasselt or whether they would take matters into their own hands,” says court journalist Faroek Özgünes at VTM NEWS. “But the Court has given itself ample time to study the file. They have now allocated five to six days to hear all parties. So actually this process is already being conducted in Antwerp.”
