WHAT A TEAM EXPECTS FROM ITS LEADER

The place of leadership, guiding a group of people, is the fundamental piece that will make the group advance, go back or remain still. Whoever occupies this place will be in charge of establishing steps and processes or creating them; implement systems and, above all, will be the one who brings down the culture and values ​​that the company proclaims to the daily field of action.

After several years studying and observing teams, especially in the real estate sector, I am certain that when results are not achieved, great attention must be paid to the leadership that is being exercised. I am not talking about a positive or negative management, boss or natural leader, but to reveal the integrity, ethics, experience and conflict resolution capacity of the person in charge. At this point there is always the answer of how the desired objective was reached, or not.

Having been a team leader, and also having been part of sales teams, I can affirm that it is of vital importance for the success of each member and of the company, that the person in charge has the real experience of having walked the path of their vendors, who knows in detail the steps and processes of the tasks required for having done them before. This point generates in the members a look at the leader from admiration, humility and mastery. So, at this point we are talking about much more than a leader, we are referring to a MENTOR in a leadership role.

Specifically, the admiration and culture that I mentioned before are the key to uniting many people towards the same end, towards a common goal that perhaps they still do not know, but that they already saw clearly in someone who achieved it. who transcended limiting beliefs, fears, who acquired the knowledge that they require today, that implements proven business models, that motivates from integrity, ethics and transparency and that uses these values ​​to also resolve conflicts, now then, with these solid and clear bases we are talking about what a team expects from its leader and from which will indisputably lead them to success.
