Ronald Molendijk was hit hard yesterday in the talk show Media Inside. At one point he was even called a ‘coconut’ by Marcel van Roosmalen.
Ronald Molendijk’s performance last week in the talk show HLF8 caused annoyance, because he also started licking the buttocks of his good friend Glennis Grace there. “Why are we saddled with this man?” said presenter Gijs Groenteman in his talk show Media Inside last night.
Coconut
Marcel van Roosmalen, Gijs’ sidekick, wonders that too. “I don’t know. It is a kind of coconut where you ask questions. You do see the eyes move and then such an answer comes out. I have no idea how we got this guy either.”
Gijs: “Very puzzling.”
Marcel cynically: “Anyway, Glennis Grace will have to come up with a ‘killer album’, Marcel. That is [volgens Ronald] the only solution.”
Gijs: “Otherwise it’s gone. The talent’.”

Ronald’s sudden appearances in the talk show HLF8 cause amazement. According to Johan Derksen, he owes that job to Talpa bobo Erland Galjaard, to whom he owes his entire TV career.
HLF8 has recently become more of an opinion program, in which outspoken types like Ronald are given plenty of space. “Look, Erland is behind this, because his bosom friend is also there, so you immediately know that Erland is behind it,” says Johan.

HLF8 will not make it with types like Ronald, Johan thinks. “They’ve said, ‘John, those guys from Today Inside have an opinion.’ But you can’t grab four guests from Amsterdam by the neck and put them at a table who don’t know each other. If your people are promptly lost at a table, you never get chemistry.”
HLF8 star Hélène Hendriks: “That was the first thing I thought when I saw this proposal. But I have to say, I’m really enjoying it. For example, on Monday I had Jack van Gelder and Frits Huffnagel and then they go against each other. You have to see who matches each other. I am really not dissatisfied with it.”
