“Wetten, dass…?” with Thomas Gottschalk: Two more shows confirmed

The talks with ZDF were apparently successful: Thomas Gottschalk is allowed to moderate “Wetten, dass …” again. Two more shows, one for 2022 and one in 2023, have been confirmed. “The response from the TV audience was overwhelming. Together with Thomas Gottschalk we decided to tell the story of ‘Wetten, dass..?’ to continue writing,” says ZDF entertainment boss Oliver Heidemann in a press release from the public broadcaster.

“Wetten, dass…?”: Broadcast dates for 2022 and 2023 have not yet been set

This has fulfilled the presenter’s wish, who could imagine one show per year to bring “Wetten, dass…?” back to television as a regular highlight. With the anniversary broadcast on November 6, 2021, Gottschalk persuaded over 14 million people to tune in. Due to the annual shows, the hype surrounding the show could now continue this year and next. However, specific broadcast dates have not yet been set. So far, ZDF has said: “In autumn 2022 it will be again: ‘Great, the bet counts!'”.

It is also unclear whether Michelle Hunziker will moderate again alongside Thomas Gottschalk. And the location for the 2022 and 2023 shows still have to be found or communicated.
