Westtoer promotes sea swimming with Marieke Blomme
Westtoer organizes the All Cover Coast Swim. Four moments where you can train, hopefully in better circumstances, to become a real sea swimmer under the guidance of Marieke Blomme. Iris Van der Borght, Westtoer: “It is for a very specific audience. Sea swimming is not something you try on yourself. That is why we fully support Marieke’s initiative. You are accompanied by a boat and a coach. time slots. Not just into the sea.”
These are tours of 16 kilometers between Nieuwpoort and Ostend, professionally secured and guided. 40 people can participate. After Mathieu and Marieke’s stunt, interest in the challenging swim is increasing worldwide. Marieke Blomme: “It is a unique concept. You swim the entire coast of a country. That is already quite unique. And certainly with the tide. Six hours along and six hours against. I can certainly see that many people will try to break my record.”
For example, the Allcover Coast Swim of 67 kilometers could become a worldwide known challenge. Such as canal swimming, or climbing an exceptional mountain top.
