Westerlo returns to Belgium’s highest football level

The Belgian football club Westerlo has secured promotion to the Jupiler Pro League, the highest level in Belgium. Competitor RWD Molenbeek lost 3-0 to Deinze on Sunday, which means that the title for Westerlo is certain.

Westerlo could have won the title on Saturday on its own, but the club lost 2-1 to Lommel.

Westerlo last played on the highest stage in Belgium in the 2016-2017 season.
